Terry Galliard Medal

At each ISPL meeting, the international plant lipid researcher community recognizes the career achievements of a distinguished plant lipid scientist, through the presentation of the Terry Galliard Award. This award is in honor of Terry Galliard, who established the ISPL conference back in 1974. Nominations are now being accepted for the Terry Galliard Award/Medal.

Nomination materials are due by March 15, 2024, through the conference website link. The International Scientific Committee is responsible for reviewing the nominations and the laureates are elected by vote of our community. Please note that all nominators remain anonymous. The awardee has the opportunity to give an oral presentation as part of the conference program.

Nomination of the 26th ISPL Terry Galliard Award should supply the following within one A4 page:

  • Brief summary of the nominee's achievements
  • Highlights of the nominee’s contributions and major impact on the field of plant lipid research
  • Terry Galliard lecture topic if awarded
